Alent ACU®

At LIGNA 2023, Alent Dynamic® is launching a new concept for wood drying. It is a machine solution that via active condensation raises the already superior performance of Alent Dynamic® to a new level. The solution is fully integrated with the process control and is based on six patents from Alent Dynamic®, 12 years of research into the dynamics of the surface layer and data from more than 300.000 batches dried with Alent Dynamic®.

Alent ACU® can be included as a core component in new super kilns or installed as an upgrade to existing kilns. Alent ACU® measures the climate in the dryer and shapes the climate fluctuations in the best way to optimize wood drying. At the same time, it provides the opportunity to recover large amounts of heat that can be used within the sawmill for symbiotic processes.

Alent ACU® measures the moisture content of the wood and calibrates the Alent Dynamics® moisture content meter WMC for increased accuracy in the final moisture content.

At LIGNA 2023 we will show installation proposals and performance measurements for Alent ACU®.

Hardwood drying

measurement has become a success with many deliveries in Europe recently and quality assignments with, among others, Dinesen and Bjelin. Alent Dynamic®, which was introduced for softwood, has proven to be even more effective for hardwood and difficult-to-dry woods such as Eucalyptus, by benefiting from climate fluctuations throughout the drying process from fresh wood to final moisture content of 6%.

At LIGNA 2023, Alent Dynamic® will demonstrate how hardwood drying can be made even more efficient with Alent ACU®.
